Reminisce

As I lay in bed last night, thinking about everything that happened to me this year, I couldn't help but praise the Lord for the moment by moment grace He constantly pours out. So many changes have happened. So many times seemed bad at the moment, but all turn out for good and hopefully for the lifting up of my Savior.

2010 started with running across the magical, snow-covered Rocky Mountain Lodge yard banging pots and pans.

In 2010, so far, I have:
-Moved two times, living in a total of three states.
-Traveled to just about every state in the west.
-Driven roughly 4,000 miles in my car
-Seen the Grand Canyon
-Been to the E.R. over a dozen times (none for myself)
-Visited more churches than I've ever been to in my life combined
-Now say "Supper" instead of "Dinner"
-Started a whole new job with new culture
-Taken the best vacation ever with my best friend and second family
-Decided to go to college in two hours
-Changed my major

I have RE-discovered:
-God is sovereign
-The theme of my life is surrender
-I never know what's going to happen next
-Family will be there no matter what
-Who my best friend is
-Home is where my heart is
-A best girlfriend does exist
-A piece of my heart will forever be lost somewhere in those Tetons
-People are mean...and that's ok!

My Joys Have Been:
-Talking to random people about God
-Missing a turn so I can see new places
-Watching my bestie girl fall in love
-Seeing the prodigal son return...with joyful tears streaming down my face

The only thing I regret:
-Missing too many opportunities to engage people in conversation about the gospel.

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace."
